My "Fat" Baby

We had our 28 week appointment with the MFM today. We are actually 28w4d. Everything went very well. Wallis was measuring a week ahead of her dates, except her stomach which was two weeks ahead! I was a little concerned but the doctor said that was good news and meant she was getting plenty of nutrition to grow and the placenta and cord were in good condition. She was estimated to weigh 3lbs 2 ozs, which twice as much as a month ago. He said she was a "fat baby" and that's a good thing. It was probably the only time a mother would be happy about a man calling her daughter fat. Her mother is getting quite fat, too, but that's another story. Wallis was no longer breech. I wondered yesterday if she changed positions while we were riding in the car--I was feeling some very unusual movements. She is now head down. I hope she will stay that way, but the sonographer said Wallis still has lots of room. This was hard for me to believe. It doesn't feel like lots of room to me. Everything else looked fine, so I am being released back to work tomorrow. I am pretty happy about that news. In two months, I will probably be ready to leave work, but I am feeling cooped up at home and not too miserable yet so going back in the office sounds good. I even have a couple hearings lined up next month. No walking to court anymore, but I should be able to go and argue.
I have another visit with the MFM at 32 weeks and then the plan is to remove the cerclage at 37 weeks, which looks like September 2. He wanted to do it at 36 weeks, but after he told me that most women go into labor about two weeks after the removal, I negotiated an extra week. I am already fairly uncomfortable and quite large (even Ross admits I am big!) but I think it is more important to get my baby fully cooked, so I asked for a little extra time.
I plan on getting as much as possible done to prepare for the baby before 35 weeks, just in case. I haven't done a thing yet, except accept some cute clothes, so I will probably get started soon. Wyatt's room is progressing, but I have no idea when it will be done. We still need feeding and diapering supplies regardless, so I can get that done in advance. That's my Wallis update. So far, so good.
